We've said it before, and we will say it again. The News-Herald is nothing more than a public relations firm for local entities seeking tax levies, increases, etc.

The News-Herald editors are out of touch with the community. They have no clue what is going on out here or what people really think of them.
ReplyDeleteI realize why Morris Beverage is pushing this levy. He sees the chaos in Columbus - and the coming $8 billion deficit - and he knows there is no shot at money from the state. So he asks for more local tax dollars.
But this proposal is as out of touch as the NH, which is perhaps the real reason why the local Fourth Estate endorsed the Lakeland levy.
Get answers on the pension funds and make public employees pay more for benefits. Until then, vote NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO on all levies.
(Don't expect massive progress on NH endorsements. They still operate by the old election calendar.)
Agreed. Both the News-Herald and Lakeland are out of touch.
ReplyDeleteDoes Collins have a conflict of interest?
